Our Story
Ground Work Collective (GWC) is a collective of advocates that seek to address several key issues to not only empower citizens to participate in the development of their own sustainable livelihoods, but also to develop and uplift their communities.
Established in 2022, we have put a stake in the ground and in five years’ time, we want Ground Work Collective to be well known throughout South Africa for catalysing changemakers in communities to bring about change. A visual map of South Africa will reflect shining beacons of light across provinces and municipalities where Ground Work Collective-supported changemakers have made a tangible difference.
“Our mission is to bring South Africans of all communities together to combine their skills, energy, and assets to collaborate, organize and make a difference in the lives of their communities, in so building a collective (both physical and digital) of mobilized citizens galvanizing for change.”
